This morning, in Peugeot Avenue on the Champs-Elysées, about fifty representatives of the French media got a first look at the concept cars from the Frankfurt Motor Show: 308 RC Z, 308 Prologue, 308 Hybrid HDi and the full-scale model from the ‘Flux’ project, winner of the 4th Peugeot Design Competition.

After a general overview of the Show, Frédéric Saint-Geours, Managing Director, demonstrated how the new 308 and the concept cars which would also be showcased as a world première on the Peugeot stand in Frankfurt, were the perfect illustration of the company’s philosophy of driving pleasure, owner of a brand committed to an environmental policy based on implementing new technologies which are effective on significant volumes. He then answered the journalists’ questions, accompanied by Christian Peugeot, Communication Director, Gilles Boussac, Products and Markets Director and Jérôme Gallix, Design Director at Peugeot’s Style Centre.

Peugeot at the 62nd Frankfurt Motor Show

On a floor space of 2 870 m², the Peugeot stand welcomes visitors at the 62nd International Motor show in Frankfurt to a relaxing atmosphere of high-quality natural materials, aquatic freshness and abundant vegetation.

Alongside the 27 vehicles representing Peugeot’s commercial range in Germany, there will be no fewer than five concept cars including one hybrid Demonstrator, of which three have been derived directly from the 308; They highlight the creativity of all the teams at the Peugeot style centre those working in “research and innovation”.

Peugeot’s presence at this major celebration of the German car industry is strengthened by the world premiere of the 308, where there will be six production models on show in both three and five door body styles, accompanied by three concept cars.
The forthcoming commercialisation of the 308 represents Peugeot’s seventh major product launch of 2007 and underlines the rejuvenation of its commercial range, in which the average age of models – currently four years – will fall to three years in 2008.

Recently unveiled to the Peugeot dealer network at a dealer convention in Sochaux which was attended by more than 5,000 people, the 308 was then presented to the world’s media on 27th June prior to its commercialisation in France and on the main European markets from 20 September.
