A new Blue Box in Sydney
17 February 2008 · posted by Staff
This new Blue Box, inaugurated in Sydney on 21 September in the eastern part of the city, is especially important for Australia.

This Blue Box strengthens the Brand’s sales network in Sydney with the largest Peugeot showroom in the country, capable of exhibiting 14 vehicles on 450 sq. m. This 40th point of sale completes the thorough modernisation of this network, which is now 100% Blue Box.
This new investment by Trivett Group (one of the largest Australian dealers) will enable more than 700 vehicles to be sold over a full year. It strengthens the commitment of Trivett Group, which has another Blue Box in Parramatta in the southern part of the city.
At this event, bringing together around 200 guests, the 207 SW was unveiled as a preview to the Sydney Motor Show which will open on 12 October.
In 2007, thanks to the success of the HDi DPFS vehicles equipped with automatic transmission and the successful launch of the 207, the Brand will have a record year, exceeding 9,000 new registrations, nearly 30% more than in 2005.

The Sydney Motor Show will take place from 11 to 21 October 2007 in Darling Harbour Showground, bringing together 31 brands on a total area of 27,000 sq. m.
Over 250,000 visitors are expected for this event, which is the showcase for the automotive business in Australia. This year it reflects the good performance posted in the national automotive market, which at the end of September was up 8.3% from the previous year, and which this year will probably, for the first time in its history, exceed the one million vehicle registrations mark.
This performance is partly due to the sharp increase in SUV sales (up 14.2%), to around 200,000 units. The passenger car market (up 6.7%) will amount to 630,000 vehicles.
The Sydney Motor Show is especially important for our Brand with the presentation of the 308 saloon, which will come on sale in Australia in early 2008 and which will have to confirm the success of the 307 range which accounts for over half of our sales. The entire 207 product range will be presented, with the introduction of the 207 SW. In all, 10 models will be presented on a 540 sq. m stand.
Peugeot’s sales in Australia have grown 6% this year, with the prospect of exceeding 9,000 sales for 2007. Diesel vehicles account for 54% of our sales and more than one-third of sales are diesel with automatic transmission.
